TEACH
THE LOCAL
SWIM
TEACHER
Drowning is the 3rd cause of death worldwide for children aged 5 to 14. More than 90% of these drowning deaths occur in low and middle income countries. There are no broad efforts to prevent drowning. Yet prevention is easy: teach children to swim! The Swim Foundation's mission is to teach as many children as possible to swim - in the most effective way possible. By teaching local swim teachers.

About
the Swim Foundation
The Swim Foundation conducts intensive teach-the-local swimteacher courses worldwide for local community members to become official Swim Foundation teachers. In return they will be able to teach children basic swimming skills -for the rest of their lives! Preventing thousands of drownings. It is our ambition to do that in the most effective and sustainable way.

Upcoming Courses
We conduct teach-the-local-swim teacher courses around the world. Especially in low and middle income countries with high drowning incidents.
By clustering our course locations geographically, we try to be as cost-effective as possible.
